S.A.R.A. 's Ukrainian Orthopedic Surgery Program


LUND--This is the first of a series of short films documenting SARA's (Sharing America's Resources Abroad) projects and programs in Transcarpathia, a region of western Ukraine.

I really like the beginning. The feeling of movement and "come here and listen and see what I want to tell you".

...the end is sort of rapping it all up very nicely with the same sort of movement, through the door.

...and I don't know if it's down to luck, but the patient is beatiful in her red "kimono". Like a fragile bird or a porcelain doll.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Those of us who work with the doctors in Ukraine see the beauty in this work. Andrew I miss my friends there so much to be able to see and hear them is a joy unmeassured. I will be going back Sept 6th 09.I hope to be doing therapy with some of Dr.Yuri's patients.
